
Remembering Jonathan Sellers
April 18, 1983–March 27, 1993
Jonathan was a bright and energetic child who, from a young age, had dreams of becoming a basketball player and an architect. He cherished the simple joys of life and had a knack for finding harmony in every situation. His warm smile and boundless positivity left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Tragically, Jonathan's life was cut short, but his memory continues to inspire us.

Jonathan Lee Sellers was born to Dennis L. and Milena M. Sellers at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego. He was born two minutes after his twin sister, Jennifer Sellers. Jonathan was a strong health baby weighting 6 lbs 1 oz. He was the fourth child in the Sellers family.

Jonathan loved his big brother, Alton and his oldest sister Natasha but always had a very special connection to his twin sister, Jennifer.
Jonathan was known in his fourth grade class at Juarez Lincoln Elementary School for being a kind friend and a great basketball player. He ask his teacher the day before he die, " if it was my last day alive would you let me play basketball a little longer." She responded, "Jonathan get in line it's time to go back to class." Jonathan played basketball with the La Jolla Recreation basketball team with his twin sister Jennifer and older brother Alton.


Jonathan was a happy child full of love and joy that he was always ready to share. Jonathan loved going to church and asked to be baptized in December of 1992. Jonathan's bright eyes, beautiful smile and helpful personality will forever be remembered. His dream was to one day be a professional basketball player and an architect.
